THE BANDS
TRIP
Born out of the vibrant Glasgow traditional music scene, unite the kindred Celtic traditions of Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man. Their trademark sound is dynamic, driven and distinctive and celebrates the band’s roots in tradition, whilst showcasing a contemporary, cross-genre flare. Their tight-knit arrangements blend traditional melodies and self-penned tunes and songs to produce an exciting take on folk music.
FALASGAIR
Falasgair, from the Isle of Skye, ignited their journey as a band with a hometown gig at Skye Live in 2022. Playing a mix of contemporary, traditional, and self-penned tunes their sound is spearheaded by Macaulay Ross on fiddle, whistle and bagpipe duo Dougal McKiggan and Finn MacPherson, reinforced by the strong backline of Ben Muir on keys, Caetano Hayes Pelletti on guitar and bouzouki, and Eoghainn Beaton on bodhran. Taking their name from the Gaelic word for the seasonal act of burning heather, Falasgair formed in Glasgow and quickly blazed their way onto the folk festival circuit. Since their debut, the band has gone on to win Seall’s Na Fir Chlis Battle of the Bands on their home island as well as the prestigious Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections 2023. Most recently in 2024 the band won Up and Coming Artist of The Year at The Trad Awards as well as being shortlisted for Belladrums Talent Search 2025!
“Imagine the exquisite playing of Ross Ainslie combined with the pace and stomp of Talisk… true war music.” – The Folky Gibbon
TARRAN
Tarran are an exhilarating contemporary folk group from Glasgow, with roots in both Ireland and New Zealand. The band consists of Sophie joint (Keys), Breanna Wilson (Fiddle), Malachy Arnold (Harp), and Rory Stark (Whistle/Bodhran). Using elements of funk, blues and contemporary rhythm, the band create a lively and innovative twist on traditional music. Tarran’s captivating performances have been brought to stages across Europe since 2019, notably Celtic Connections festival where they claimed the “Battle of the folk bands” award by hands up for trad. After the recent release of their EP, "Heartwood”, the band is thrilled to unveil fresh music to audiences worldwide.

THE POOZIES
The Poozies have been mistresses of cosmic shape-shifting for a miraculous 34 years. Pioneers from the beginning, with a healthy dose of sass and irreverence, they paved the way for sparkly women folkies in a beardy man’s world.
The band continue to be anchored by the glorious bass of founding member Mary Macmaster’s electro-harp, while the irrepressible riotousness of Eilidh Shaw & Sarah McFadyen’s twin fiddles and the shimmering joyfulness of Mike Bryan’s guitars burst off to happily explore other musical dimensions.
The band are ever-evolving, and 2025 will see them further embrace their unique brand of Trad-Punk with defiantly idiosyncratic new music featuring top notch guest drummers Donald Hay and/or Kenny Knowles. The blissful result is an unrivalled mix of songs that make you sing and tunes that make you dance.
